About us

I opened Swim4Life Watford in January 2022 with the help of my family. As a Mum to three children, a primary school teacher and ex competitive swimmer, teaching water confidence and promoting a love of swimming is something that I am very passionate about.

We are an inclusive swim school that currently provides small class lessons for children aged one year and above. Our lessons are taught by friendly and experienced teachers, most of whom are also school teachers.

The 30 minute lessons follow the Swim England Stage Criteria in a fun and interactive way. We celebrate every swimmers' successes with the aim of giving everyone the skills to be able to swim for life.

We are a diverse Swim School that encourages everyone to learn to swim irrespective of their ethnicity or religious background. We currently run two very popular women only swimming classes that give women the opportunity to learn to swim who may not have had the chance before.

CARING FOR THE ENVIRONMENTSustainability

We are conscious at Swim4Life of any areas in which we can reduce our carbon footprint.  Swimming teachers will often car share especially on match days.

Our uniform and logo design are locally sourced and being in the centre of Watford means that our customers can easily use public transport, walk or cycle to lessons.

Single use plastic over shoes are not used on poolside with parents either taking their shoes off or bringing pool friendly footwear.

Swim4Life is a paperless business and over 90% of our marketing is online.

CELEBRATING SUCCESS

Achievements

Swimathon 2024

We’re proud to have taken part in the 2024 Swimathon which raised over £2000 for charity.

Non-swimmer to swimmer

Darcie worked so hard in the summer holidays and could swim a length by herself by the end of her time away.

“So proud of our swimmers continuing to work hard through the holidays!” Caroline mentioned.

Diving success

Mimi has been working really hard on improving her diving this year. She had a real fear of going off the blocks but is flying off them now!

Confidence boosted

Alyssa joined us last term and was incredibly nervous of entering the water and getting her face wet. We are so proud of the huge progress that she has made so far. She is now confident enough to get her face wet and has started to swim with an aid through the water.

Well done Ducklings!

Well done to all of our new ducklings for showing such enthusiasm and water confidence in their first few weeks with us!
